Canvas paintings

All my canvas artworks are varnished for protection using a quality art varnish medium in a matt finish. I paint on deep edged canvases using acrylic, water based oil, mixed media and collage. I either initial or fully sign all my paintings on the front of the painting and all artworks are titled, signed and dated on the back of the painting.

All my canvases are framed with a simple bespoke contemporary handmade frame with a slight shadow gap and painted with Farrow and Ball 'Lamp Room Grey' matt emulsion. Paintings are strung using quality cord and D rings ready for hanging.

Frames require a light dust with a soft cloth occasionally or if needed a damp cloth.

For your information, I use high resolution images of selected paintings for both limited edition prints and cards as well as selected prints for King & Mcgaw Art Prints. Please click the link to see available prints

Paintings on board or Paper

All my artworks on board and paper are varnished for protection using a quality art varnish medium in a matt finish. I initial or sign a piece of work on the front right hand corner and all artwork is titled, signed and dated on the back of the frame. Dependant on the piece of artwork, I choose to either frame using a painted backing board with a simple boxed frame, unglazed. Or I frame a piece of artwork with art mount board and glazed with quality art glass, which dramatically reduces reflection. Paintings are strung ready for hanging using quality cord and D rings. I vary the frame colour dependant on the piece of work.

As with the frames for canvases these frames require only a light dust with a soft cloth or if necessary a damp cloth.
